I don’t have Baby Shower photos yet (need to get them off of my mother’s camera and Suzie’s camera), but I do have some photos of the gift piles that are making a mess of our den. You can check out the photos on our photo site.

Other Notes: I’m in Week 33 and still feeling great. I was reading that our baby is about 17 inches from head to toe and weighs about 4.5 pounds. Her lungs are nearly fully developed as of this week.

Baby Shower!!!

WOW! Our baby shower was this weekend. I can’t believe how many people came to share the day with us. The generosity was beyond all expectations.

It was a whirlwind of an experience – all a blur. There were so many people and so much going on, I really hope that I was able to speak to everyone and express my gratitude. If I wasn’t able to share some time with you, I apologize. I very much appreciate your support.

I have to give an extra thank you to my mother, Donna, Ty, Jaimie and Suzie. The party was great. The room was very neat – the food was great – the “theme” was incredible. I was shocked to see the baby’s theme carried throughout the room – the water bottle labels, the book labels, the table settings, the boo-boo bunnies, the jeapardy game – EVERYTHING. So incredible. I can’t even imagine how much work that was for all of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Before & Afters

Now that Valley Street has been “lived in” for a while, I wanted to put together some new Before & After samples of the work we’ve done at the house. Unfortunately I didn’t get true before photos (as in, before we started working on it), but the photos are still pretty impressive. I think anyways…

32 Week Check-up

Went to the doctor’s office this morning. All is well. My blood pressure, weight (total gain of 14 pounds so far), belly measurement, baby’s heartbeat, and everything else is right on track. The doctor could feel the baby’s position and told me that her head is already downward on my left side, her back is to the lower-left of my belly button, her bum is to the upper right of my belly button, and her legs and feet are up near my right ribs. She is facing my back. Which is all good. The doctor is estimating that she’s about 4 pounds right now and that she’s expecting a birth weight of about 7 pounds – sounds good to me!!! I don’t have another appointment for 2 weeks…

31 Weeks

So I’m 31 weeks this week. I’m still feeling really good. I haven’t gained any weight other than my belly. I don’t have any swelling. I am eating well and sleeping well. I’m not too tired. I guess I’m a bit boring. What’s neat is that I can tell that the baby is getting much bigger. I’m now feeling lots of “body part” pressure in various places of my belly. I can watch my belly change shapes as the baby changes positions. I’m getting excited to meet her…

Dave and I seem to be getting closer to narrowing down some names. We’re going to pick 4-5 and make the final decision once she is born.

Big Shot!

HR announced this morning that I have been promoted to “Director of Web Services”. I assume responsibility for The Kraft Group website creation, development and management. Additionally I will supervise the Web Content Masters. In all reality, there is no real job shift – more of a Title shift.
