Awesome & Horrible

David and I went to the Super Bowl!!! As you can imagine, it was both awesome and horrible at the same time.

We started our day at 6am. Arrived at Logan Airport at 7:30am. We were met by a NECN news crew, which was doing a story on how the Kraft’s sent their employees to the Super Bowl. Our flight departed at 9:30am. It was a private charter. We had a snack bag, egg sandwich, and watched Money Ball – the Brad Pitt movie about the Oakland A’s.

When we landed in Indy, we walked off of the plane down on to the pavement and over to some buses. We were greeted with hats, pins, Super Bowl programs, and of course – our tickets!

We were taken to a VIP Party at a place called Bartini’s. We had some food and hung out with some of my co-workers.

Dave and I then headed over to the Stadium, which was a huge pain to get in to. Lots of walking. We explored the sights and sounds, and eventually got to our seats. We got some food, took some photos, and the pre-game activities began. The nerves set in.

The PATRIOTS blew it. Heart-wrenching to witness in person. They HAD it! Oh well.

We then QUICKLY left the Stadium and headed over to Victory Field for the Patriots post-game party. We had no other option since we had no hotel and needed to wait for our bus to depart at 3am.

Robert Kraft had some nice words. We had some food. And got to see Earth, Wind & Fire, Maroon 5, LMFAO, and DJ Paulie D.

We arrived back home VERY TIRED at 8am.
