Baby Shower!!!

WOW! Our baby shower was this weekend. I can’t believe how many people came to share the day with us. The generosity was beyond all expectations.

It was a whirlwind of an experience – all a blur. There were so many people and so much going on, I really hope that I was able to speak to everyone and express my gratitude. If I wasn’t able to share some time with you, I apologize. I very much appreciate your support.

I have to give an extra thank you to my mother, Donna, Ty, Jaimie and Suzie. The party was great. The room was very neat – the food was great – the “theme” was incredible. I was shocked to see the baby’s theme carried throughout the room – the water bottle labels, the book labels, the table settings, the boo-boo bunnies, the jeapardy game – EVERYTHING. So incredible. I can’t even imagine how much work that was for all of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.

If any of you reading this have photos, please email them to me. Since everything was so overwhelming I’d love to get a recap of the day by enjoying some photos… And when I do get photos, I’ll post them to my photo site so everyone can check them out.

Check up and Whooo!

I had a doctor’s appointment this morning, and every thing is great. I’ll be 6 months prego next week!! Wild. In total I’ve put on about 7 pounds. My doctor is very happy with my weight gain up until this point. Not too much, not too little. My blood pressure is good. My urine test (whatever it is) is good. The baby’s heart sounds good. I feel good. Good, good, good.

I don’t have another appointment until June 13th. I have to do some Glucose test or something like that.

And my “whooo!” note is that I found out today that one of my very good friends is having a baby in October!!! She’s been very tight lipped on the whole thing for waaay too long. She told me that she knew she was prego when I told her that I was prego. She just wanted to really be safe and make sure everything was okay before she started spreading the news. I don’t know how she held all of that in for so long. Complete opposite approach than me!! She’s having a boy.
